I am Sick...

Right now my mom and sisters are all out eating dinner and staying the night at the SLC Marriott. I am at home sick. Horribly sick. I am not happy about this at all.

Catch Up!

August 21st was my last day of working at Dick's Market. I worked there for seven years. Most of the time it was Dan's foods. I started as a bagger when I was 16. When I turned 18, I was a cashier. Later, I worked as the Front End Supervisor, then the Front End Trainer and finally the Floral Manager. Quitting was kind of bittersweet. It was nice to move on but I had been there for so long, created lots of memories, and enjoyed my job and most of the people. ;)

On my last day they gave me a backpack full of school supplies, peanut butter bars and other favorite candies, and a spa gift cartificate. It was extremely nice of them!

On August 25th I started student teaching. I decided I wouldn't even think about blogging during my student teaching because I would have enough going on. Well, now it is time to catch up.

I student taught for about 16 weeks. Eight weeks in a third grade class and eight weeks in a sixth grade class. Both placements were great learning experiences. It kept me extremely busy. Finally, on December 11th I graduated with a BS in Elementary education. I was uncertain about walking, however, my family was coming to watch so I figured they might be disappointed if I didn't show up! :) I was glad that I did walk. It helped me realize that I was actually finally graduating!!!

While we were camping in the Unintahs, Carson was a little scared to try fishing. I told him I would take him to ice cream if he just tried it. He did and ended up catching lots of fish!

Over Labor Day weekend I went to Kennecott Copper Mine with my family. This was the first time I had ever been there. It was really cool!

Mikel, Myles, and I went to a fundaraiser concert for Now I Can! Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband performed. I missed the opening act which was Keith Stubbs... Darn Traffic. We had lots of fun!

Me and Liz went to Lagoon for one last time. I really got my moneys worth this year! I had lots of fun going with friends and family!

For halloween, my family had a Halloween party at Matt and Laurie's house. We all dressed up, the kids went trick or treating from bedroom door to door, played pin the nose on the jack-o-latern and we made mummy pizzas and hot dogs. We all had lots of fun! Shandra, Jessica and I went to a corn maze! We played on the little playground before going into the maze. There was a big slide and even a teeter totter! Haha :) We had lots of fun!

Scott's dad gave me and Scott tickets to a BYU game. It was a great game! We had lots of fun!

For Thanksgiving my family went to a church in Plain City to eat. We had lots of yummy food and lots of fun!

We were also playing Phase 10. Until some poeple decided to quit because I was winning!

Uintahs!

Every year my family goes to East Fork of the Black Fork. My parents headed up on Wednesy with Meg, Carson, and Zach on Wednesday to make sure we got a spot. I rode up with Jen, Chad and Jordy on Thursday afternoon. Matt and Mikel followed us up there and Matt and Laurie got up a couple hours later.

Friday was great weather and some of us hung around camp and played games while Matt and Lauries family and my parents went on the day hike. The rest of us planned to go on Saturday but Matt's family had to leave Saturday morning. We played True colors, spoons, PHASE 10, Spped, and California speed! SO FUN!!!

When we woke up Saturday it was super cold! It started hailing really bad! Then it snowed! Then it rained! We planned to go on the day hike but it didn't look like we'd be able to. We also planned to stay through Sunday but with the weather being so cold we figured we should probably pack up. After we had packed up a lot of the stuff, the clouds went away and it ended up being a beautiful day. We went on a short hike and went fishing for just an hour or so. We headed back to camp and finished packing up and headed home.

It was a great camping trip! Thanks to my mom and dad who put so much effort into packing everything, planning the meals and going up early to save a spot!!
