Uintahs!

Every year my family goes to East Fork of the Black Fork. My parents headed up on Wednesy with Meg, Carson, and Zach on Wednesday to make sure we got a spot. I rode up with Jen, Chad and Jordy on Thursday afternoon. Matt and Mikel followed us up there and Matt and Laurie got up a couple hours later.

Friday was great weather and some of us hung around camp and played games while Matt and Lauries family and my parents went on the day hike. The rest of us planned to go on Saturday but Matt's family had to leave Saturday morning. We played True colors, spoons, PHASE 10, Spped, and California speed! SO FUN!!!

When we woke up Saturday it was super cold! It started hailing really bad! Then it snowed! Then it rained! We planned to go on the day hike but it didn't look like we'd be able to. We also planned to stay through Sunday but with the weather being so cold we figured we should probably pack up. After we had packed up a lot of the stuff, the clouds went away and it ended up being a beautiful day. We went on a short hike and went fishing for just an hour or so. We headed back to camp and finished packing up and headed home.

It was a great camping trip! Thanks to my mom and dad who put so much effort into packing everything, planning the meals and going up early to save a spot!!

Bear Lake

Almost every summer my family goes to Bear Lake to stay with Nelson's at their cabin.
I rode up with Jen, Chad and Jordy. We got there Monday evening.

Around Midnight a bunch of us we out for a swim!

Tuesday we spent the day in the water and on the wave runner. I got FRIED!

That evening my dad taught Me, Meg, Morg, and Maddi how to make boondoggle bracelets.
Later that night we went down to the beach to light some fireworks.
On Wednesday we headed home and stopped at Rick Springs. Me and Laurie were sitting in her van when someone backed into her passenger door. It scared us so bad! Luckily it wasn't too bad and the guy that hit her is taking care of it.

I had a wonderful time hanging out in the water and spending time with my family! Thanks to the Nelson's who let us come up and hang out every year and to my parents who rent the wave runner every year!

WSU Fireworks

Every year I look forward to going to WSU for their fireworks. It is so fun to go up to Weber early in the day and lay around on a blanket playing games and snacking. Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE to play games especially phase 10. I also really enjoy the fireworks! This year I went with Liz, Tatum, Scott, Jackie, and Trey. We played BS and Phase 10! We had a fantastic time!!! :)

Hanging out with Morgan and Darren

On Friday Scott and I hung out with Morgan and her husband Darren. We went up Farmington Canyon trying to find a place to have a fire to roast hot dogs and smore's. After no luck we ended up in my backyard using my fire pit. Meg came out and joined us. It was a really fun night! Except the part when Darren and Scott were jumping off small cliffs and scaring me and Morg!

San Francisco

Me and Scott went to San Francisco to visit his sister's family and to see the San Francisco sights. We had so much fun!

Day One Wednesday, July 8th

As me and my dad were driving to pick up Scott to go to the airport I noticed I didn't have my driver's license in my wallet. We turned around and I frantically searched for it! I knew the last time I had used it was at the bank. My mom called the bank and they told her I had left it in the tube and they had sent it back to me in the mail. We expected it would arrive in the mail on Thursday. So with no other choice I got every other form of ID I could think of. I got my social security card, birth certificate, old driver's license, bank statement, etc.

We finally made it to the airport and I was able to use my other forms of ID. As I went to board the plane, the man scanned my boarding pass and it said I needed an extra security screening. So we waited about 10 minutes and two security guards came and searched me. After they were finally done we were able to board the plane. We were obviously the last ones on and then the plane was ready to go!

We landed in Oakland and Dave picked us up.

Day Two Thursday, July 9th-

On Thursday we went to San Francisco.

We started at Pier 39 and walked around the shops and then ate lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Apparently it's from Forrest Gump, one of the many movies I have not seen.

After lunch we walked to Pier 33 to catch a ferry to Alcatraz. Once we got to the Island we walked up to the prison and had an audio tour. Alcatraz was my favorite. It was so interesting and I enjoyed it so much.

When we got back to the Pier 33 we walked back to Pier 39 and shopped some more. I bought a few shotglasses and ornaments to add to my collections.We also walked down to see the Sea Lions.

That night we hung out at the apartment and went swimming. I haven't swam for so long so it was so fun!

Day Three Friday, July 9th-

My driver's license arrived at my parents house. They fed ex-ed it to me so that it wouls arrive on Saturday and I wouldn't have any problems getting home. Such nice parents. :)

Friday morning we headed to the Jelly Belly Factory. This was fun and interesting to see them being made and packaged.

That afternoon me and Scott went to the Alameda County Fair. We were only there for a little bit but we saw pig races, other small animals, a train exhibit and laid on the grass and took hilarious pictures while we listened to Bowling for Soup in concert.






That night we all went swimming. Abby was so much fun to swim with. She was so cute!

Day Four Saturday July 11th-

On Saturday we went back to San Francisco. We went to see the Golden Gate Bridge up close but it was completely foggy. It was still really cool to drive acrossed it and see.

That afternoon me and Scott rode the trolley to Chinatown and walked around the shops. We stopped at one of the restaurants and ate eggrolls and potstickers. The eggrolls were the best ever!




On our way back to Dublin we stopped at the Oakland Temple and walked around. This temple is so pretty. It was also really neat because you can walk on the terrace and see a beautiful view of San Francisco.

After that we went to Fenton's for dinner and ice cream. They had huge ice cream sundaes that were so delicious!

Day Five Sunday, July 12th-

On Sunday me and Scott slept in and got ready to fly back home. Scott made spaghetti and had it all ready when Dave and Keri got home from church.



Thanks to Dave and Keri. They were so overly nice and helpful to us while we were there. They let us do whatever we wanted and it was so nice to spend time with them. Abby was so cute and fun to play with. It was such a fun vacation!

Fourth of July

Every year on the 4th of July my work does a free breakfast. All of the managers go outside and cook breakfast. I think I have helped outside with this breakfast since I started working there in high school as a bagger. It is usually a lot of fun. After the breakfast the managers walked in the Layton Parade. I wasn't too excited for this but it turned out to be pretty fun as well. We all had shopping carts and did synchronized shopping carts. It turned out to be pretty funny.

After work Meagan and I headed to Provo to meet up with the rest of my family. We went to Colonial Square and then to Mikel's house. We played games and ate yummy dutch oven and home made ice cream. After dinner we went to a park down the street and watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks.

It was fun spending time with family and as always it was especially fun playing with my nephews.
